Dana White stealing Pro Boxing commentary and getting it wrong...

    So UFC 194:

''This last summer, Conor McGregor won the World Title belt....''

Then they show a clip of Aldo on a bench saying, ''His Interim belt is fake.'' lol At least Aldo is getting it right...

Then the promo commentary states, ''This Saturday both fighters will UNIFY the UFC Featherweight belts...''

WTF?! Since when does an 10 year undefeated and undisputed Champion care about unifying an Interim belt!?

        F#cking this.

Completely amazed boxing fans don't understand how hype & advertising work. Some boxing fans be like "ha, I bet energizer batteries don't actually last forever".

The hype is obvious when combat sports fans dwell upon resumes and wonder why the marketing gimmicks are in place. Ronda was a prime example for UFC... and when Conor gets ktfo I am just itching to see that ****** smirk look from Dana monopoly White playing the scripted suspension of disbeliefs for the 80s kids and WWF.

they do it for the same reason in boxing we have so many damn titles, fighting for something is alway a better sale then just 2 people fighting.

A World Title belt is particularly important, THE champion. If this wasn't clear then hardcore GGG fans would be content with his WBC Interim belt. Whereas UFC just hijacks phrases without even knowing Pro Boxing protocol. Since when do World champs in Pro Boxing care to promote that they don't mind stealing an interim belt when they already have the World Belt. I don't mind the UFC copying boxing, but getting it all wrong makes me agree with Arum that Dana White's skinhead fantasy world might actually prove a point...

Idk why some boxing fans & some MMA fans gotta **** on the opposite sport so hard, but to each his own.

Personally I'm a fight fan & first & foremost that means boxing, 2nd is MMA & I have a huge respect, love & appreciate for all the combat sports (muay thai, kickboxing, K1, BJJ, hell I even dig the great history of sumo wrestling even if that doesn't fall into combat sports really in my mind). Dana & the Casino brothers are all fight fans as well that have a great appreciation for boxing too.

I see your opinion is based on my opinion on White's character and business conduct...

The point is incorrect marketing. Actually the reason why they are technically incorrect about belts is because they're selling Conor as some hope while they show Aldo as if everybody forgot about Dre. Unfair innit... Ringling Brothers was cool
