Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury: I Don't Hate Anybody, I'm Uniting The World

Tyson Fury has denied that he is a ****phobe and claimed that he is "uniting the world" as controversy continues to circle the recently crowned world heavyweight champion.

Fury has come under increasing scrutiny for comments he has made since he upset long-time champion Wladimir Klitschko in Germany on November 28.

The 27-year-old's place on the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year Award short-list has also been questioned but Fury has remained defiant throughout, claiming he is misunderstood, and in an interview with Sky Sports News on Thursday he launched another impassioned defence of his views.

I'm already bored of this circus and it hasn't even been a week.

Fairplay to Tyson for winning but he's grating now.

to be fair it's basically two interviews, one of which i think was conducted before he even won the titles, that have been blown out of all proportion. the backlash should be against sensationalist reporting and PC witch hunts, not against fury for merely expressing an opinion

Yeah i know, it's not all on him really it's all the news coverage that he's getting. But at the same time he brought it on himself. It's a shame because it's taking away his achievement by mostly talking about his edgy opinions.

He knew his views would garner negative attention, thats why he does it. He can't then moan when he gets what he wanted.

Yeah, i don't mind him causing a ruckus at the BBC lol

The fact that posh nob Rutherford threatened to not participate in SPOTY was quite nice.

But he knew what he was doing thats why he let his views be known before the biggest fight of his career.

To be honest, with a record decade of pure boredom from Wladimir Klitschko I welcome newer and dare I say more colorful personalities.

I think Fury is good for the sport and whatever his opinion is, is just that, his opinion. He has nothing to explain to anyone if those are his beliefs. It's no different than a ****** being willing to kill innocent people and die for their religion because they think they get 70 plus ******* when they do die or whatever.

And THAT's why what Fury's doing is OK -- because it's no different than a jihadist using religion as an excuse to murder? That's either good parody on your part or some crazy-ass logic.
