Mayweather Jr has been in contact with Manny Pacquiao, and apparently told him that a fight with Khan or Crawford is too high risk, and that a loss would hamper the chances of a rematch between himself and Pacquiao.

It is believed that Manny Pacquiao has one fight left on his deal with Top Rank, after which he would be a free agent. It has been suggested that Mayweather and Pacquiao are looking to face each other in the ring once again, this time with Pacquiao as a free agent, a fight which will also mark the opening of the new MGM AEG Arena in Las Vegas, with the bout touted to be held on the Mexican Independence Day Weekend.
