These situations have ended up in court many times, so an attorney's perspective is very relevant.

The IBF has an obligation to enforce their rules and their rules are far more relevant than what you personally view as common sense.

If you understood the facts of the situation and if you were capable of common sense, you might feel very differently.

The IBF stripping Fury isn't absurd and there was no alternative. Fury, without their knowledge, sold Klitschko a rematch cause. That rematch clause violates the rules of most if not all of the sanctioning bodies.

This site reported that Fury rejected a step aside fee. So again, not the IBF's fault.

You can only achieve a #1 or #2 ranking in the IBF by fighting and winning an official IBF eliminator. The IBF had no basis to rank Klitschko & Wilder as they were recognized titleholders, had Fury #3, the highest allowable ranking without an eliminator, and had no basis to rank Povetkin as he was already committed to fighting for the WBC title.

Just because rematch clauses are common doesn't mean they should be or that they should be given precedence over a mandatory.

You shouldn't have to beat the champion twice to be the champion. Rematch clauses in championship contests should be completely abolished.

Having 4 major sanctioning bodies is the cause of most of the problems within boxing today.

Recognizing, therefore supporting/condoning, each of those organisations individually..... is the very root of the problem.

    Well done son.

You look pretty ****** to me for vehemently insisting that Glazkov should be ranked higher than Fury/Klitschko/Wilder/Povetkin.

Don't you know anything about this sport ?

Congratulations, for thinking that a Glazkov/Fury bout should be ranked higher than a legendary champion exercising his common-place contractual right to avenge what was a HUGE upset.

And please do not reply to me, wanking on about the IBF rules...... like they are somehow important/relevant.

I guess you missed the part in my post pointing out that the "rules" which you are wanking on about, are only supported by 1/4 of the major sanctioning bodies.

Only the ******est casual fans support the corrupt sanctioning bodies.

      common-sense should always prevail.

But here we have casual fans supporting the corrupt ABC organisations over the fighters..... so it makes it a little difficult.

Main Events like all promoters does what's best for them.
