I can't believe they actually called Fury's opinion about gays and the like a hate crime!
This is an injustice to hate crimes!
A hate crime is when someone assaults another person or engages in criminal activity because of their intolerance towards race, creed, sexual orientation, etc. Just saying "I don't like gays" doesn't constitute a hate crime regardless of what you think of Fury's sentiments! As far as I know, he wasn't targeting anyone in particular so where is the hate crime?
This is almost as bad as people who say they are the target of cyber bullying. There is no such thing! If you can willfully discontinue visiting a site where people are saying bad things about you, there is no bullying! Bullying only happens face to face. People need to stop taking things said on the internet so damn seriously!
With all the legitimate crimes against humanity being committed nowadays it's no wonder that little is done about it when irreverent comments made by pro boxers are targeted for possible criminal activity. What a joke.
