  • Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury, Lennox Lewis Explodes With Verbal War

They were on friendly terms, but only for a short while. Tyson Fury and Lennox Lewis had exchanged words in the past, but the hatchet appeared to be buried last month. Fury and Lewis went to dinner together in Dusseldorf - prior to Fury's shattering decision win over Wladimir Klitschko to capture the WBA/WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight titles. After his big win, Fury apologized to Lewis for the numerous insults that were made in the past.

Disrespectful... I liked Fury when he was attacking Klitschko, but to call out an old retired former champion like this is bad taste.

Unlike Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko, Fury's reign won't last long.

Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, and Joseph Parker are coming for him.

Lennox was always a class act and a gentleman champ

Not sure what Fluff Fury's problem is actually. Fluff Fury has the opportunity to become a huge mega star in boxing in the UK and in the USA with a win over the dimwitted untested hayseed Wilder. Why keep insulting Lennox who is respected worldwide for being a class act and true gentleman as champion. Fluff could end up being hated everywhere and lose everything before actually enjoying the fruits of being a champion and respected. Mental problems for Fury apparently and being very poorly raised and inbred comes to mind. Sad.

Fury is bipolar, what do you expect... One day he says this, the next day he says this... one moment he makes sense, the next you know he's a rambling madman... This is Fury, the HW champion.

Wow, to have dinner with the guy and apologize to him in that interview, is just plain old back stabbing. The bad thing is, Furry is trying to make a fight with a guy that is old, retired, and has been out of boxing for many years. He must see it as a high dollar easy fight, but it is just classless to try to make it happen like this. Its also disgraceful to the belts, as a champion, to not fight the best and go for the easy money. Unfortunately we see this too much in boxing.

Classy response from Lewis. Smart too, because there's no way he's beating Fury in a war of words. On the other hand, a prime Lewis would obliterate Fury in the ring.

Ducks Haye, Wilder, Glazkov....calls out a 50 year old who hasnt fought in a decade. This is why not everyone deserves a shot at the title. Anything can happen in the ring, then you end up with this. Lennox KO4 Fury even in 2016.
