The RING is corrupt and is biased towards GBP and HBO fighters.
How are they biased towards GBP and HBO fighters? The only one with a Ring belt who fits that criteria is Canelo. And sort of Gonzalez because he's been the co-main with GGG in his last two fights if you want to count that

And Stevenson was The Ring champion as of until recently because he was probably stripped for not fighting a top 10 fighter in over 2 years. He defended The Ring belt in his last fight

as for stevenson, he did fight a top 10 fighter. ring has the rules set up where they can do whatever they want. if stevenson was with golden boy, i guarantee you he'd still be ring champion.
I think their criteria is fight top 5 opponent in 2 years. It's reasonable, and Stevenson didn't meet it. They're not real stringent in applying it, and I'm sure if he was with GBP he wouldn't have been stripped but nobody cares about Stevenson anymore

Yes it would. Pac and Bradley are generally regarded as the two top welterweights. The TBRB which is about as reliable a ranking system as exists nowadays ranks them 1&2 - http://www.tbrb.org/all-rankings/

But it's only relevant if Bradley wins.

Lineal titles cannot be stripped. That's the entire point of lineal. Mayweather @ JMW, Ward @ SMW, Stevenson @ LHW, and Hernandez @ CW were stripped in 2015. Now Mayweather retired and vacated and Ward moved up and vacated later, but Stevenson and Hernandez are still lineal champions, although Hernandez's lineage is disputed.

In regards to their GBP and HBO bias, I'm not even gonna waste my time trying to convince you. Just read the comments from their owner and their writers about anybody that doesn't fight on HBO.

lets be real....how long can Manny be ranked in the top 3 after taking losses the past 3 years? Outside of Bradley last year, he hasn't beat a top 5 welterweight since beating Cotto in 09

He is 3-3 in his last 6 fights and only 2 of those opponents was a top ten welterweight when he fought them....Bradley in the rematch and Floyd this year

Bradley is a good fighter, I respect them both but welterweight is a mess and the top ten guys aren't fighting each other.....no one has really separated themselves and proven that they are number 1 and 2

i honestly dont feel like anybody has separated themselves from the pack. Im not even sure if pac or bradley are actually the two best. but nobody wants to fight so i cant be sure. So if pac wins are you guys saying this would make him lineal in 5 weight divisions?

Shouldn't. I don't think any credible source will claim this is for the legitimate title.

It will establish a new lineage but it shouldn't. Manny's last 2 fights were a loss and a win over a JWW moving up Algieiri. Prior to that he defeated tim (again IMO) then beat JWW moving up Rios and got KTFO by JMM.

Maybe Manny should not be ranked #1 given his record and opponents in his last 5 fights.

Then how would someone earn the lineal tittle today?
