Artur has plenty of amateur experience, if it wasn't for Usyk he would of gotten Gold.

Artur is not the person you want to clinch, his inside game is ****ing scary. It'd be interesting to see what Ward would do against a fighter like him.

Yup and if the Olympic back then was the same as Rio Usyk would have lost and at best a draw he got knocked down in round 3

Also We'll see how well Ward take Kov punches, according to Campillo Beterbiev hit even harder, if Ward cant take Kov punches then 0 chance Vs beterbiev since he's even more agressive.

why hasn't he had any highly contested fights then?

must be pretty high if no one has taken him out, beaten him since he was growing peach fuzz

just say you are rooting for Kovalev and hope he wins.

that's a lot better than downplaying one of the best fighters to turn pro in the last 15 years.

he only beat cobra by one round, outside of oakland. he cheated against kessler. other than that hes fought noone whos much good. his CV in last 5 years is absolute garbage and hes jumping in from fighting a 40 year old nobody to sergey kovalev.

I saw the fight live and scored it several times since. that was no one round fight.

it was entertaining. Froch himself said he clearly lost and the best man won.

two judges had it closer than most live observers.

You may want to actually watch the fights, instead of rely on press clippings and someone elses score card

yea Abraham wasn't good, even though he defended the ibf title at 160 like 10 times and held the wbo at 168 a few times and remained in the top 5-6 since.

Both Kov and Ward had extensive amateur careers and the same amount of pro fights.....no opponent today can prepare them for the other guy so if they are not ready now, they never will be

abraham is no good, cobra won every round against him too, even paul smith nearly beat him. i watched it mate, had ward winning in close fight, although he fought really negatively and didnt land hard shots, a lot of cuffing type shots. 5 years of fighting bums is going to come back to haunt him.

If a guy can fight on a world class level until you are clearly past prime and still remain top ten in his division, you are a good fighter.

never said it was an awesome win but to say a guy who only lost to elite guys in his prime at 168(Ward, Froch, Dirrell) and remained in contention of world titles over 5 years straight isnt a good fighter is ******ed.

all his loses are at 168 and he is past prime. He was still able to remain a titleholder at an advanced age and actually beat one of GGG's best opponents too.

hes never fought a power puncher like them two, much like bernard did he will go into retreat mode as soon as he feels kovalevs power, you know, the fighter you all said would do a pavlik on him. ward is no floyd mayweather when it comes to ring iq, is hittable. 5 years of fighting nobodies and noone is going to bite him in the arse.
