There’s no shame in losing to Sam Eggington. The Birmingham fighter has had a fantastic 2015; picking up Commonwealth and British welterweight titles and now recognised as one of the UK’s best talents. Shayne Singleton is kicking himself though after losing to the Midlands man in March.
At the Ice Arena in Hull, Singleton looked good at times but - buoyed by his own success - chose to get involved in a war and was stopped in five rounds. Reflecting on that defeat, his first in 21 contests, Colne’s Singleton says he has learned the hard way to follow orders.
