    Which would you prefer?

If you could win only one, Which one would you prefer...A gold medal from the Olympics? or a World Championship in the pros?.. Personally, I would love to win a Gold for my country..

Yeah but winning an Olympic medal is more symbolic of your achievements in my opinion.

Being an olympic gold medalist is a huge achievement.IMO being a world champion would be better. Most people will forget a gold medalist but if you are a good world champ people will remember you for a long time.Plus a gold medal don't pay the bills.

Just because the rules are slightly different in the Olympics doesn't mean its not legit. If you have more skill the small differences wont matter. The thing about the Olympics is alot of talent that sometimes choses not to be pro gets involved and sometimes they win. Like the Cubans, I think they dominate Olympic boxing. Some of those fighters are probley not allowed to box in America because of the government they represent. I may be very wrong in this assumption. Im guessing because I know the Soviets weren't allowed to box in America during the Cold War... I think lol.

Does America do well in Olympic boxing? We should dominate it.

Nah, I think it was America who protested, and no Americans went except a Puerto Rican for a sport I forgot...Cuba owns boxing right now.

Mercado was the only American citizen who challenged the boycott of the 1980 Olympics celebrated in Moscow, Russia, competing in boxing for Puerto Rico.
