You guys going off topic and mentioning future fight, you're failing to take into account the rules/policies of the sanctioning organizations.

    So here you go:
    1) Jacobs is the WBA REGULAR title holder, that means he has a MANDATORY coming up against the winner of the eliminator in 2 weeks between Eubanks and osullivan.

    2) other organizations only do unifications with the guy who holds THE real title. Remember how Rigo had to be stripped of the WBA super title in order to finally make quigg/framptom and other fighters who held the regular title and wanted to "unify" were stripped this year already.

    3) WBA has their annual convention this month and i reached out to gilbertico and he says they will be ordering the super champ to fight the regular champ and a timeline will be set.
Assuming Alvarez vacates in 5 days and lee beats Saunders in 13 days:

lee vs golovkin saint pattys day weekend in MSG(March)
Let Jacobs face his mandatory spring 2016, winner takes on the winner of fight below.

Lee/Ggg winner take care of ibf mandatory Johnson summer 2016.

fall/winter 2016 undisputed middleweight championship fight.

        Canelo
        Jacobs
        Lee

If we are counting Canelo, i'd have him number 2. I also don't think there is much in it between Lee and Jacobs.

Agreed 100%. Lee knows his Boxing. I don't see Saunders winning, or even getting out of the 9th. Lee is a smart, hard hitting boxer!!!

Personally I find a fight between Lee and Jacobs a more interesting fight to see before Lee/Jacobs vs Golovkin. I'd rather see a unification between Canelo and Golovkin.. Lee vs Jacobs is more realistic than Canelo/GGG vs Lee/Jacobs because of Haymon. Within those two bouts though lies a great PPV fight for the unified middleweight titles; which both Haymon and De La Hoya/K2 know when big money can happen make it happen.

Alvarez has never fought another fighter who weighs in at 160lbs, therefore I refuse to acknowledge him as a MW.

For me, the winner of Lee/Saunders is tied with Jacobs at the #2/#3 spot.

I'd like to see sparring sessions between Jacobs & Khytrov & Derevyanchenko. It's possible Danny's not even the best MW in his own gym.

I don't know about that. Before Showtime bought the fight, Lou DiBella worked out a deal for the fight to be on HBO. Frank Warren is the promoter of Lee/Saunders and thus owned the tv rights and so was fighting with DiBella and HBO backed out.

HBO had been in the hunt for the rights but a dispute between Lou DiBella, Lee’s American promoter, who had made a deal with HBO, and Saunders promoter, Frank Warren, over who owned the American rights killed the HBO deal.

I can see Lee getting outboxed by Saunders just like he was vs McKewan. Saunders has a decent chin and is a smart fighter. If it's a close fight, Frank Warren will have those judges greased. Lee will need a KO.

Who do you think will pay more money? Lemieux got $1.5 mil to fight on PPV. Loeffler said the only way to pay the fighters what they wanted was to hold it on PPV. Jacobs and Quillin got $1.5 mil each on a non-PPV card. Lee/GGG isn't PPV. Saunders has already said he ain't fighting GGG no time soon.

HBO could step up and offer more in order to invest in Golovkin. Also if the fight's in the UK, there'll be additional revenue there for it. Just look at what Golovkin's options are, HBO should be concerned. Alvarez might say no to 2016 and don't expect Haymon to allow his guys on HBO.

However I don't know if WBO will allow Golovkin to unify as long as he holds the WBC interim belt. If Saunders wins, it would be a better fight in 2017 anyways.
