Exactly, anyone would have been in trouble if they got caught clean like Quillin did. Especially that temple shot. Lets not label him "weak chinned"

so you wanted quillen to eat power punches and get put down to make it visually pleasing? quillen was only gonna eat solid punches and undefended. he was done and peter didnt cry about the stoppage he knew he was done.

I didn't think either of their chins were that bad. I think Quillin just got caught cold. There is definitely going to be a rematch.

Jacobs has more boxing ability so he was the one who was able to land the shot. Skills and bills and all that stuff. The good guy won.

Weird stoppage at most, but those bambi legs, he took at least 20 power punches one after the other, what do you want the referee to do?

The referee step un thinking that quillin was about to fall, right after that Jacobs was coming for him again, then the referee looked those out of orbit eyes and stopped it.

Jacobs set up his shot though. He's a more skilled boxer than Quillin.

When you take 20 unanswered punches and are on noodle lefs you aren't making it easy on the ref.

I had a bet on both fighters to be knocked down.

I thought it was a little premature. The ref seemed to jump in before that for no reason too.

Quillin didn't complain about the stoppage after the fight so I'm not gonna complain. He knew better than anyone what kind of trouble he was in.

I said something similar right before the fight started. I predicted Quillin to win because I thought he could take Jacobs shots better than Jacobs could take his. I was wrong. He got hit with some serious blows though. I have no problem with the stoppage however. Quillin was seriously hurt, on skates and his eyes were gone. He didn't even protest. But I agree with your first point.

I think more than a bad chin Quillin just has bad recovery ability and technique. Why didn't he hold? Why didn't he take a knee? You can say he was knocked too senseless to think, but there are plenty of fighters that can get cracked and maintain their composure well enough to recuperate.
