I do not think there should be a rematch. The writing was on the wall folks. You can tell his heart and soul were not in this game, for quite a while.

Could it be a weight making issue? Possibly. Maybe if he moved up to 168, Quillin would find life easier and get motivation back, but as I said before the fight, he looks at boxing as a 9-5 job, and you will fail by thinking like that.

What i do know is, the Quillin we have seen the past couple years, is not the same Quillin we saw a few years ago. He was hungry back then, and was a better fighter.

They set rules before the fight. There was no standing 8 count. Quillin was done. Good stoppage.

Ref made a mistake assuming Quillin was going down when he stumbled after Jacobs connected with the right hook. Then after stepping in front of Jacobs he looked back and realized Quillin was still standing. Awkward moment. He should have given Quillin the 8-count based on his own mistake. Instead he compounded his own blunder by waving the fight off. Quillin looked bad, but this is boxing, let the man lose his zero on his back. The ending was unsatisfying unless you hate Quillin (which I realize is 95% of Boxing Scene).

He made the call judging on what he saw, which is more than we can see on tv. My only problem is why did he step in? If he was calling it a kd, which it wasn't, he could have counted. I have a feeling he was stopping it regardless and was surprised to see quillin on his feet when he turned around.

Exactly! Why did Dock jump in front of Jacobs after he landed that bomb? Then turn around and wait to see if Quillen was ok before stopping it. If he didn't, most likely Jacobs puts him down and out and there is no controversy whatsoever. I don't have a problem with the stoppage itself but the way it happened overall wasn't clean.

So now we know who #3 is in the divison. I'd pick Jacobs over Lee/Saunders winner and then # 1 GGG and #2 Canelo.

Would love to see the top 4 have a tourney for the undisputed middleweight crown in the next year.

Canelo cannot call himself a top MW until he stops being TRIPLE C. Canelo Catchweight Champion is not a MW in the sense he has been fighting MW.
