I'm laughing at people around NSB praising Jacobs for beating Quillin, but calling Quillin a bum in the same sentence. People did the same when Froch beat Bute, whom they called a bum as well (Bute).

Great TKO by Jacobs. The only thing I didn't like is that Jacobs looked like Charlie Zelenoff in there after he stunned Quillin the first time. He's just lucky that Quillin doesn't have JMM-like recovery.

Initially I thought it was a bad stoppage but after looking at that replay Quillin was all over the place, he was getting lit up, and I'm not sure he would have survived that onslaught because there was a lot of time left in the round and Jacobs was connecting with almost all his punches.

Very impressive performance by Jacobs.

My exact thought. At first I thought the referee was over reacting but in the replay it was evident that Quillin was in another plane (so much that he even could protest for the stoppage). I am also impressed on Jacobs because I honestly believed Quillim would be the victor tonight (and I lost some money betting on him). Congratulations to Jacobs.

What a night. I thought Quillin would stop Jacobs but Jacobs caught him early and from then on he mauled Quillin. He was landing at will with hard shots. He's got great power. He's got a punchers chance against any of the top MWs but it's his suspect chin which I think would see him come up short against Canelo or GGG.

Stoppage may be seen as early by some but Quillin was out on his feet and he didn't need to take anymore punishment. All in all a great win for Jacobs and this really opens up the MW division.

Quillin the 10 million $ man blown out in 1rd. Even though I think Quillin would of got ko'd the ref failed in his duty. Its hard to just look at someone and tell if they are ok or not. The ref should of and it is what a true experienced professional ref would do and that is ask Quillin a few questions. Ask him where is he at,if he is ok,can he continue anything to gauge if he could give a proper verbal response. Then and only then would he have known if Quillin was able to continue. And I am saying this as a person who hates Quillin because of his inflated deluded ego.

Glad that dude got blasted. The stoppage was fine, Quillin was way out of it and he didn't even have the common sense to take a knee. Ten more seconds of Jacobs teeing off on Quillin and the ref would of stopped the fight anyways
