UK Bookmakers gave Devon Alexander a better chance vs Khan, then Kell Brook! EXPOSED

Kell Brook is the marquee fighter for Sky Sports in the UK, the equivalent of HBO before Showtime's resurgence a few years ago. Sky Sports consistently place Brook on the top of their British P4P Rankings, and have hyped the British Boxing public into believing that Kell Brook is a superskilled, slick, boxer with immense power that is going to give Amir Khan all sorts of problems.

However, Sky Bet, the betting arm of Sky UK, had odds of 2/1 for Alexander to beat Khan. For those of you who don't know how odds work, a $10 bet on an Alexander win, gave you a return of $20.

Now, what is really funny, is that Kell Brook, this so called 50/50 challenger vs Khan has official odds of 7/4 to beat Khan. A $10 bet on a Brook win, will give you a return of $27.50.

One would think that it is Khan who is the IBF Welterweight Champion.

So Sky Bet, have Khan as a clear favourite to beat Brook. So why are Sky trying to fool the British public into thinking that this fight, is an even match-up, and that Kell Brook is the best fighter active fighter in Britain?

My dear friends across the Atlantic, please don't be lulled into believing that Khan v Brook is some 50/50 fight, by fellow British posters on this forum. You could say that 50% of regular boxing viewers in the UK WANT Brook to beat Khan, which is a lot different to believing that Brook will beat Khan.

Both Team Khan and Team Brook want this fight, because it allows both Khan and Brook to have a mega pay-day, and allows Eddie Hearn to cash out on Brook.

    Sources / Evidence:
Amir Khan heads into his biggest fight in two years this weekend as the odds-on favourite to beat American Devon Alexander at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The odds from Sky just show how much faith they have in Kell Brook to win

7/4 is shorter than 2/1. That makes Brook slightly better odds than Devon.

Dude, he's trolling. From time to time he drops the act and he is actually a Brook fan. He is making fun of you if you take him seriously. Making fun of people who don't see the act.

I don't think that is the trolling part of his thread, he just got the odds wrong. Epic fail - he needs to go back to school and revise his fractions.

I've never seen them rank british boxers so i don't even know about that but they probably put Brook as number one because Khan doesn't fight in the UK anymore.

As for odds, they are made by the bookies, not a boxing org or eddie hearn.
