Comments Thread For: Glazkov Weighs Options As Clock Ticks On Title Future

It’s been a whirlwind past few days for the heavyweight division, with plenty more to come for as long as Tyson Fury is ruling the roost.

For the moment, unbeaten contender Vyacheslav Glazkov is doing his best to deal with all of the craziness and how every recent and forthcoming move affects his immediate future.

With Fury’s recent November 28 unanimous decision win over Wladimir Klitschko on the road in Dusseldorf, Germany came recognition as the World heavyweight champion. Such honors also include the slew of alphabet titles Klitschko has collected and held over the course of a 9½ year, 18-defense title reign, as well as the mandatory challengers to go along with said belts.

All the IBF champion should just start 2016 with fighting their mandatories, and getting all that out of the way so they don't get Fury

    - Golovkin mandatory is Tureano Johnson
    - DeGale mandatory is Jose Uzcategui
    - Brook mandatory is Kevin Bizier
    - Pedraza mandatory is Stephen Smith

Glazkov has a better chance against Martin than against Wilder, who is simply too big.

The King Malik Scott spanked this guy for 10 rounds only to get a gift draw. Honestly watch the fight, this bloke is rubbish.

Yep. Wilder would definitely destroy Glazkov.

Shrewd move by Duva. By declining negotiations and requesting an immediate purse bid (which was granted), she denied Fury the opportunity to request an exception for the mandatory and rematch Klitschko. Great reporting!

So if we get Glazkov-Martin for the IBF title, that leaves Wilder without an opponent and 1.5 months before his next fight. I bet that we'll end up getting Wilder-Szpilka on Jan. 16th. Hopefully Wilder and Martin win and unify.

PEdraza about to and Golovkin most likely will.

              Brook most likely too

Am I the only one who thinks(prays) that Klits will give Fury a Pass on the rematch for now so he can fight Glazkov.

                  Let's hope...

Because If Glazkov wins he's going to be protected like crazy in Russia.

Funny how Klitschko gets like 9 "optional" title defenses for every mandatory he faces then as soon as theres a new Champ they gotta face a mandatory before their title winning bruises heal.
