Comments Thread For: Jessie Magdaleno Targets Donaire vs. Juarez Winner

BoxingScene.com recently spoke with highly regarded manager Frank Espinoza. The Southern California based boxing manager has guided the likes of Israel Vazquez, Abner Mares, Daniel Ponce De Leon, and several other champion fighters.

One of his current fighters looking to make a name for himself is undefeated super bantamweight prospect Jessie Magdaleno (22-0). The Las Vegas, Nev. based prospect is looking to make the jump from prospect to contender and then champion in a hurry.

    Solid Stable

Mr. Espinoza has a pretty good stable of young up and coming prospects.

I have never seen Jessis Magdaleno fight....not sure if he's related to Diego.....Can anyone give me some insight on how good he is?

Antonio Orozco had 2 solid wins this year against Taylor and Soto. I look forward to seeing what Golden Boy does with him next. I think he will get a title opportunity by the end of next year. He's extremely tough and skilled. I wonder if he can take it to another level.

Oscar Valdez to me has got star written all over him. He's extremely impressive. I like how he is being brought up through Top Rank. Hopefully next year he takes a step up in competition and fights guys like Manuel Avila or Jo Jo Diaz (Doubt this one).

As for Rios he got a solid victory against Velez. Good to see his career get back on track after the upset loss to Castellanos. Hopefully he gets some Top 10 fighters next year and gets a title opportunity by the time next year ends.
