I think Pascal realizes he needs an angle to sell this fight.

Cause the last fight doesnt leave much hope for him.

However, I will say that I never understood why Kov called him a piece of ****. What was that about?

Look, I expect Kovalev to win, but

Pascals counter punching genuinely befuddled Kovalev, he even hurt him twice, once to the body really hard

I think pascal is a tougher matchup than Stevenson for Kovalev

I expect this a tougher fight. Pascal can fight more carefully now. He has a nice style against kovalev

the one thing that i need someone else to chime in: Did Pascal drop kovalev prior to the fight's end? He certainly didn't hurt him, so I'm not sure Pascal can take anything out of it. At best, he just caught pascal with a lazy shot that hit him in the shoulder and kovalev was standing strange and lazy, but it looks like a slip. Either way, that's not where pascal should find hope. It's the other two shots.

But yea.. From what I've read about and seen from Kov, he probably does have a racist streak. He is a mean dude from Russia though, so probably just the way he was raised. Im guessing as he spends more time in the US, he'll learn that it's not acceptable to use certain language when referring to other races.

I only wish he could back this up in the ring, but i will not go against my better judgement, for Pascal has no skills. I thought he bursted an ear drum and was unbalanced? Now, it was the coach's fault. Pascal, the only thing you can count on is luck, unless you catch Kovalev with something big, you are getting destroyed again. I remember after the first fight people were complaining that the fight was stopped too early and wanted a rematch and what not. Now people are complaining that the rematch is happening. I guess that Gonzalez fight changed people's perspective.

I hope Kovalev doesn't underestimate Jean. Never underestimate an opponent. I also hope he doesn't try to get rid off Jean earlier just to make a statement. He should take his time and punish Jean. If the KO comes great, whether it's earlier or not, but if it doesn't come then great as well.
Just focus on winning.

It sucks that Jean will probably be used as a stepping stone when he loses. Oh well, time for Beterbiev or Gvozdyk to get their opportunities.
