Quebec City, Canada - Adrian Granados survived a first-round knockdown to shock undefeated super lightweight prospect Amir Imam in the opening bout of SHOWTIME BOXING ON SHO EXTREME with an eighth round TKO (2:34).

It was a crushing defeat for Imam, who entered the fight as the No. 1 mandatory challenger to WBC Super Lightweight World Champion Viktor Postol.

Imam was absurdly overrated. Don't compound that mistake by ranking a journeyman who exposed him far higher than he should be.

How is Granados a journeyman? Do you follow boxing?

If Granados doesn't get Postol I would love to see him in there with Herrera or Crawford.

Because he beat a bunch of bums.

Now, Imam isn't a bum, but someone who was being touted as the future of the 140 division should have beaten someone like Granados without much trouble.

You're just praising Granados to downplay Imam's loss.

It would be an interesting style match up, but I think Postol gonna clinch a little bit too much in this fight.

Bums lol, the guys he beat would put you to sleep, so who's really the bum? Have some respect, this is what I was talking about on the other thread, you're one of these modern day boxing fans.

The guys he's lost to are top guys who are managed/promoted from the top, he would've got the decision in at least a couple of them if he had a big name/promoter. He hasn't had the luxary of slowly working his way up and cherry picking, he's had to fight all comers, he's a very good fighter and still only 25, he's a top contender at 140 now.

I was very high on Granados before the Imam fight, check my history...

They probably could, but I don't see what that has to do with this topic.
