  • Jennings and Fury proved Ali would have gaped open Wladimir.

Jennings and Fury looked like the were trying to implement moronic mutations of the styles Ali used. It worked. Jennings put up a great show and Fury actually beat Wlad.
Awkward movement and lateral fleet of foot+weird angled punches seem to confuse Wlad. Big Lummox that he is.

Lewis would have also kayoed any version of Wlad. But that's just due to being a better version of Wlad himself.

You mean a 39 year old Wlad. At 39, Ali was losing to Spinks and year later Holmes & Berbick.

We could say the same thing about Larry Holmes doing something similar to Ali but Ali was old, Wladimir has aged better I think he just fought too timid didn't show the press he should have
11-12 rounds that's what was needed, press double up the jab work the body.

At 39 Ali had been through wars with Foreman, Norton, Shavers and Frasier on multiple occasions.

Name me one real war Wlad has been involved in?

You didn't know this before? No serious poster thought a prime Wladimir could beat a prime Ali.

look at who ali had to go through vs who wlad had to go through.

its not even close. not to mention having the american government against you vs wlad's comfortable lifestyle and russian peds.

Not saying Wlad would win vs Ali, but I am saying last night was not prime Wlad, and Ali wouldn't have just gone out destroyed the prime version. Stephen Edwards has broke this down multiple times and agrees.

I thought the same thing but the major factor in the current HW division vs the passed is size. Look at Klitchko vs Fury, a 2inch height/reach was hard for Klitchko to overcome and he is 6'7" himself. In my heart i picture ali & louis beating Klitchko but physically theyd have been at a HUGE disadvantage.

Yeah it wasn't a prime Wlad but get a grip. Prime Ali would box circles around any Wladimir. And this is coming from someone who had Klitschko pound for pound #1 before last night. He can't match Ali's speed, footwork and most important, intelligence. I wouldn't be surprised if he was totally gassed taking a beating by fight's end. He certainly wasn't going to outbox Ali so what was he going to do? Ali would slide in and out and build a points lead on a frustrated Klitschko and pull away. I don't care what Stephen Edwards says, it's a decisive win for Ali any way you look at it.

Any boxing fan with half a brain already knew this before he lost to fury.
