Kovalev looks like he was ready to kill Stevenson. Kovalev said 50/50 on HBO, then Stevenson says "Do you have a problem with Al Haymon", and that's when Kovalev reaches out and pinches Stevenson's cheek.
Not really a surprise though... Being from Montreal we have all the infos about who avoids who and in that case the actual fighters have nothing to do with it...
Adonis comes off as desperate , almost like he's begging knowing there's nowhere else for him to go, Kovalev is the biggest money fight or eventually he might have to face BB
for far less of a check.
Did Kovalev say anything during that? Did Kathy Duva? I think there is too much bs involved here with network issues (unless Richard Schaefer is getting that HBO Boxing gig lol) for this to happen in June. Its clearly not gonna be a HBO/Showtime co-production. The fight is important for boxing, but not the business of boxing so HBO nor Showtime are rightfully gonna put much time into this.
Sad face Don King in the background. This musta been during or after the Amir Imam fight.
Well i twas Kov's team who ducked the purse bids because of that whole HBO rubbish .Forge tit. Put it on PPV, splits it between HBO and Show and make the fight.
I'm a fan of both guys and in all honesty, both look like they want the fight, the glory, the titles and the money.
HBO, Show and the various promoters and managers need to stop being such *******.

Thats true I think. Its Beterbiev (who I think beats both guys ultimately oddly enough) or maybe the Alvarez cat or some other random top 175 guys for Stevenson & than retirement probably if there is no Kovalev fight.
Thing is there ain't that much for Kovalev either. He's got Ward (who I think beats him) in the 2nd half of the year & then........nothing really except pizza deliverymen or Pascal III cuz PBC/Haymon seem to have most of the world class 175lbers. Maybe he moves up to 200lbs idk, but idk that there is much to get excited about for Kov there or if his success is guaranteed with that sorta big jump up in weight.
Problem is still going to be the network issues I think & the reality this fight isn't that big money-wise for anyone on the business side to give much of a f#ck.
