Former world champion Victor Ortiz has been hit with a lawsuit by the guy he allegedly beat down at a Kenny Chesney concert ... but Ortiz claims the accuser was too damn drunk to remember what REALLY went down that night.

In court docs obtained by TMZ Sports ... the accuser claims Victor and his brother were bouncing around the Rose Bowl on July 25th looking to pick a fight while a Rose Bowl security guard egged them on.

Interesting character

This guy's erratic behavior makes him an interesting character IMO.

I never understood why he threw his fight with Floyd down the drain. AFAIK he is the only one that has actually hurt Floyd. He was backing Floyd down, landing punches with both hands, both to Floyd's body and face. Then, out of nowhere comes an uncalled-for head butt, then he kisses Floyd, then the referee looks somewhere else and doesn't pay attention to the fighters, then Ortiz never lifts his gloves up to protect himself and gets sucker-punched twice, to a weird KO. To me it looks like all that was pre-staged (the head butt, the referee's "distraction", the sucker punches), but before that, he was really starting to beat Floyd up.

Before that, he was involved in a super-exciting and strange fight with Maidana where it looked like he was going to knock Maidana out (knocked him down twice and hurt him a bunch of times also), and then strangely he started to back down, he got himself knocked down and in the end he seemed to quit wanting to fight and lost a fight he could have won with more guts (or less erratic incomprehensible behavior).

Then after the Floyd fight, he gets involved in a fight with Josesito Lopez, where he was the clear favorite on his way to a mega-fight with Canelo, and very strangely, he gets his jaw broken by a Josesito who was supposed to punch way less hard than Ortiz himself?

His fight with Berto was really exciting and strange as well. Bunch of knock-downs, lots of weird trick/cheating tactics by Ortiz... this guy is really exciting an unpredictable as a fighter, but I guess we all know why now, he definitely has a screw loose.
