he let edwin rodriguez fight on HBO twice during the cold war.

Well all it takes is a good offer from Team Golovkin which they have never made.

It Haymon/Lara turn it down, then we know who's to blame.

      Right now, it's Team Golovkin.

        What are you arguing about?
The competition that Lara has fought that could be considered "better", have all beaten him. There isnt a single win on Lara's record that you could reasonable claim would have a shot against GGG

Do you believe Delvin Rodriguez goes 12 with GGG? cmon man.......lol

          That wasn't the discussion though.

It was who has faced the better competition.

Lara and GGG resume are about what and what. But Lara post Canelo comp has been terrible. I mean Ishe fuqing Smith is the best person he has fought since Canelo and he sucks

But I'm cool with a Lara fight but we all know it'll have to come after the Johnson, Lee, and Canelo fights.

They're not old washed up fighters from a lower division (Rodriguez/Zaveck for Lara, Konecny for Quillin) and they're not young inexperienced fighters (Zerafa for Quillin or Dunn/Murdock for Ward).

Golovkin actually rejected Jarrod Fletcher for a fight in favor of Geale, when Fletcher was made his mando. Jacobs jumped at the chance for Fletcher. Golovkin rejected Fernando Guerrero over Gabe Rosado, b/c they were afraid Guerrero was too easy. Quillin jumped at Guerrero for an opponent but then struggled with Rosado. Quillin learned his lesson about taking Golovkin's leftovers when he rejected Macklin in favor of Konecny.

Lara could've fought similar level of opposition to Golovkin, then instead of Zaveck or Rodriguez he would've fought Maciel, Clottey, Nelson, or Rabchenko. And yet he turned down Clottey for Zaveck.

              Excellent analysis.

I'd love to see how GGG would handle the Cuban style of boxing. He would absolutely get credit from me if he took that fight.

I don't understand why so many of his fans are against it, though. Yet they're looking forward to Tureano Johnson.

Rodriguez fought ward 2 years ago and was a massive underdog with no shot to win that fight. I'm talking about his "good" fighters. Somebody who actually has a chance to win. Also part of his deal for ward fight is he had a contract that he could appear on at least 1 hbo card. And they obligated it by buring him on HBO Latino lol

That was a freak one off example where haymon let one fighter he didn't care much about and hbo made him sign a contract for 2 fights. Haymon don't like doing contracts and won't let any of his top fighters fight on hbo.

lol, so now getting beat adds credibility? Well then I guess Reggie Strickland must be in your top 5 all-time.

Putting that idiocy aside, dont you find it the least bit curious that Lara spends all his time calling out GGG, a fight that probably has a low probability of happening, but never utters a peep about Quillin or Jacobs, who fight under the same umbrella, and should be MUCH more realistic fights to make??

                      Im dying with anticipation......lol
