Will the Loss of Roger Affect Floyd?

As a Floyd fan, this Roger thing has me worried. In this world strange things always happened. It kind of reminds me of the Tyson-Douglas fight when Mike didnt have the good people in his corner and they help screw up that fight.

Now I know that Floyd will have more competent guys in his corner and Roger will probally even find a way to communicate between rounds but its still not the same. I can just see the announcers saying "Floyd looks lost out there" or "he is taking a beating right and cant seem to find a way to adjust".

Now I know that these fighters train for months anyway and if there is any fighter who doesnt need a trainer in the ring, its Floyd but it still sucks to have him probally having the 2 or 3 biggest fights or his career within the next year and Roger not being in his corner. I think it has to affect him some.

Roger is still a idiot for doing this. He makes money but he doesnt make enough to be throwing 200 thousand away. I bet he feels like a fool right now. This could also cause trouble between him & Floyd because if hes not working the corner then Floyd might not want to pay him, or one of the other guys might want the head trainer money but I doubt this will happened because Roger will still do all the training and game planning leading up to the fight but it still worries me.

Your trainer is your comfort zone. You get used to him being there and telling you things. Its not the same with somone else talking to you, even though it will probally be that same ball head guy who is always in his corner

It may effect him but as you said, once he is in the ring its him and only him and he's experianced enough to know what to do.

Given Mayweather's less than Arce-ic schedule, I doubt it will affect him that greatly. Mayweather fights about 2 times a year, and he'll probably be out of the ring for another 6 months anyways. He can defend the IBF title or rematch Judah in Grand Rapids, or expand his fan base to the east coast at MSG. It won't effect him that much, Mayweather is a seasoned pro who can win in any situation. He is not a prospect.

You guys forget that PBF don't have to fight in Nevada, he can still fight in Atlantic City or NYC. Roger can still be with him if he doesn't fight in Nevada, PBF just might not fight in Nevada for the next year.

I think that givin Floyd's natural ability it won't be a problem.

The Judah fight was the first time in years (i think since 1999) that Floyd had fought in Vegas, so he could quite easily just not fight in Vegas for a year.

Also, i think Floyd is experienced enough to know what he is doing without Roger and regardless, i thought the big bald dude seemed like a knowledgeable and calming influence in Floyd's corner so he could quite easily take over the reigns.
