because NFL gets good and consistent ratings.

    boxing does not.

there are like 3-4 boxers ppl in america know and they fight 1-2 times a year.

because the commercial break based advertising business model doesn't mesh well with the sport. plus, it isn't family friendly.

you'd likely be complaining about commercials in between rounds if 'top tier' boxing were on free tv

edit: not to mention, sports like football have a set time limit, whereas a fight could end in 1 rd or 12. that makes buying ad time for a fight less appealing to advertisers

Sponsors pay millions to advertise on the Super Bowl, which is watched by more people than any three fights.

Obviously they don't see the value of paying top dollar for a boxing match which could stink or literally end in a minute.

plus NFL doesn't sell the super bowl to TV.

NFL sells games of 32 teams for 21 weeks (PRESEASON AND REGULAR) plus playoffs, the super bowl and pro bowl.

to 4 different tv networks FOR BILLIONS a piece.

floyd-pac could have put up super bowl numbers on regular tv.

but even then i don't know if those ad buys could compete with the money generated by $100 ppv.

May you and the states of Texas and Arizona be forever flushed away from this country. Take Alabama along with you.

It's hard to sell ppv of a sport most beloved in the south. They can't afford it.
