Do you think some weigh in weights are fixed?

I remember listening some years ago former MW champion "locomotora" Castro from Argentina saying that he had found a way to cheat the scales by using bubble gum when he was no longer able to make the MW limit. Well, he was fat in his late years... probably he didn't want to train anymore.

I find su****ious sometimes that some fighters hit the scale right in the limit.. for example 147 for a 147 fight. Of course it's not needed to rig a weigh in.. you can fix the machine to show 146.5

Being boxing a corrupt sport with almost no rules, do you think this has been done in fights? in major fights too?

Wasn't there a Chavez Jr fight where they brought out a different scale to weigh him on?

I bet that sounded clever in your tiny brain. It wasn't.

I'm curious in what way this worked? He blew a bubble big enough to lift him off the ground a bit?

I've wondered about this too. Hell, they don't even show the scale results on video, so people could be making **** up when it keeps a fight 'legit'.

I think you took the bubble gum thing the wrong way. In wrestling we used to use gum to create saliva and spit all day drinking nothing. You lose a anywhere from a pound to 2 pounds in a day

I believe that some of them may be "fixed" I forgot exactly which fighter, if not mistaken was on the under card of Canelo vs Cotto, one of the persons in charge of the scale told the fighter to lean a bit to the right and forward.

Might be my mistake, but that's what I see during our local weigh ins . A fighter can go down half a kilo easily.
