Guys, I'm a fairly casual boxing fan outside of fighters from the uk, so therefore I haven't seen a lot of Garcia outside of the Khan fight

It seems a lot of people aren't a big fan of him but when I look at some of the names on his CV (Khan, Morales, Judah, Matthysse, Herrera, Peterson) it suggests that he's elite quality

Why is it that he's not seen as such?

fans can be fickle. If you don't fight who THEY want you to fight, you're a bum, other names, etc.

Sometimes they forget that they have absolutely ZERO control on what happens in the boxing world.

Pretty much after he beat Matthysse, which pretty much ALOT of them were picking the machine to win, they all started calling him cherry picker, other names etc

Many felt he lost the Herrera and Peterson fights. But Matthysse had a large cult following of hardcore fans and when Garcia beat him they were very disappointed. So a combination of those factors.
