16 months is my guess (picked 1 year in the poll)

Canelo is all of 25 years old, almost literally a year removed from when the body tends to max out on growing. Alvarez has basically maxed out as a in-shape/primed 5'9" ~170lb fighter.

From here on in, it's going to come down to how far Canelo can still comfortably boil down without losing his fighting fitness. Canelo's been 154/155 since 2011 (age 21). Sense is that the time is just about up.

He is still young he can probably get 2 years more at that weight, When I saw him at the weigh in, I new Cotto had his hands full, the guy looked strong and solid, and flexed no problem.

Depending who he fights. I don't think he'd risk impairing his stamina against another prime JMW who also rehydrates into the 170's and can push him.

Maybe he does 155lbs for Tim Bradley, gets stripped for it, cries victim, then moves up to 160lbs for 2-3 decent MW's before GGG.

He was weight drained for the fight with Cotto. 1 year/ 1 fight tops!

He needs to stop the massive weight gains. It is hell on the body, kidneys, heart, etc.
