None of those were rematches were they? I know the unexpected can happen. I just don't think it will here, especially considering HBO has Ward/Kov lined up for later in 2016 and doesn't want to jeopardize it.

Lets just say you aint betting any money on Pascal. LOL!!

        Pascal defense was the issue....

Pascal offense was fine against Kovalev it was his defense and being out of position after throwing a punch that was horrible. You don't drop your hands particularly against a vicious puncher. Hopefully Roach can shore up his defense.

I'll give you that haha. Still, I feel like Pascal will have a gameplan that's better than the first. He's proven that he's world class, so I can't just dismiss him. Kovalev is a damn monster though. I'm rooting for Ward to beat him, but that's definitely not set in stone.

As I learned in the Bhop fight, Kov is smarter than he looks. He picks up on what is being done in the ring and counters it effectively. He can take away a lot of what a fighter does.

he's already seen Pascal. I agree that the last strategy wasn't right. And he did crack Kov a few times. I think Kov is going to be prepared for that.

Pascal, on the other hand, looked like being KD for the 1st time in his career changed the way he fights. Admittedly the sample size is small, but Gonzalez didn't look great. I think Pascal lost a bit.

I could be wrong, but I'm confident Kov will make a statement. If I'm wrong, I will man up and take the heat.

If there's any heat to be taken, I won't be dishing any. You can't criticize a boxing fan for believing that a fighter will perform in a certain manner. I personally never count an underdog out though, especially when it's a high caliber guy like Pascal.

The first fight makes the second look unwinnable, but Pascal is a live dog in my eyes. Call me an optimist lol

You have to admire Pascal, he is crazy and has a big heart, but it will be a moral victory if he can take Kovalev 12 rounds. I hope he doesn't get hurt in the process.

It will be very unfortunate if Pascal is the one to take Kovalev out. Very very unfortunate.
