He's ranked in the top 10 by the WBA.

This fight gets Haye a high ranking straight away, so it's pretty smart.

        He's already in shape...

It will unquestionably be touched up, but Shane McGuigan said he's dropped 20+lbs over the last few months and is aslready very close to fight shape.

He released a comeback video the other day as well, he's clearly in shape.

Yeah he will be fine, Shane is an excellent conditioning coach as well. Haye will struggle due to his fighting style imo. He's all about speed/reactions, and being out of the ring for so long, as well as his age, will count against him.

                It would seem that way.

A HW who relies on speed can't be taking 4 years off (some of which would have been prime years) and return exactly the same.

I do really like Shane as a trainer, the scientific approach is definitely the best way to go. He seems to be hoping the time off will help in terms of Haye's body has had time to fully rest and recover and now shouldn't break down. Hopefully that's the case and we see some good fights.

                  It's a good match for a comeback

Haye's been out for too long and we dont know if his shoulder fully healed

                  Give the guy a break.

Not everybody can be like Vitali and fight a champion right after a 4 year layoff

Haye will be good for the division, assuming his tools are still there
