I was never impressed with Bute. Dude's superstardom eclipsed his talent and level of opposition. And Froch just beat the life out of his eyes in Nottingham.

But today is a special day. Fury became unified heavyweight champ, Imam got the **** beat out of him..... If Bute wins tonight my brain might explode.

      Agreed.
I think fans need to show interest and pressure. Far too many fans are content to just say, " It can't happen", and it lets the promoters off the hook. Fan pressure means something these days.
I don't know the "how" of the matter either but, as fans, it's not our place to know. We're the ones spending the money, we need to express what we want.

Bute was an excellent offensive machine, if he's rejuvenated DeGale's in trouble. James is looking really overrated, I thought he lost the Dirrell fight and he hasn't shown anything impressive prior to that.

Degale let another mentally fragile fighter in Dirrell survive after putting him down hard. Dirrell worked himself back into it. People think Bute is fragile too, but Degale still can't afford to let something like that happen again this time with the hometown crowd willing the challenger on

i was biased as i had alvarez in 3 different acca's (just won me 300squid)

i had it alvarez winning by 2, when in reality it was probably a draw or a chilemba win.

No, that was only a 3 fight deal that's now expired. Kovalev is the only one with a tv deal. No reason Adonis doesn't just name his price and take the fight on HBO.

DeGale cannot afford to rest on his laurels tonight.

I would like to see DeGale put on a complete performance, he did well against Dirrell but he was still very on/off in that fight. He should be able to come in strong and give Bute the business, but if he lets Bute get comfortable and his confidence then you never know.
