I saw the fight on TV Azteca & Eduardo "Don" Lamazon tv aztecas scorecard keeper they had Cotto winning 117-111. If you saw the fight on TV azteca you know what I'm talking about but if you didn't I recommend finding it on Twitter search or youtube just type in "cotto canelo tv azteca". Also Juan Manuel Marquez had the fight a draw. Julio Cesar Chavez SR also saw the fight very close type in on on YouTube "fighthype Chavez Sr Jay z" and you could hear Chavez Sr around min 2:30 in that video saying in spanish "que la pelea era un robo".....I personally saw the fight a draw or a 7-5 in favor of Canelo barley....thoughts

That fool from TV Azteca was on crack. I dont know how anyone thought it was a draw or a win for Cotto. I had it 8 rounds for Canelo and 4 for Cotto.

I saw his 'explanation' on facebook. He says he's a "Canelista" or Canelo-supporter and hopes Canelo has success for another 10 years. He said there was an image circulating the web where it shows the score totals of many Canelistas who scored the fight for Canelo except him. The intent of this according to him was to ridicule him because they don't like him. He said this list failed to show that MAB and JCC Sr. also had Cotto winning. He said he too can compile a list of 50 to 100 experts that saw Cotto win. He said another TV station convinced JCC Sr. to change his score.

He said he thought Cotto won because he had a more elegant boxing style, ala Martinez vs Chavez Jr. He said that tells him he practiced this style in the gym and he was able to execute his plan to perfection during the fight giving him good results.

He said Canelo's harder punches didn't convince him because he missed most of them. He said the punches Canelo did connect had less value than the punches that Cotto landed from the outside because they were more consistent.

He reiterated it was all Cotto in there strategy wise and that everything else is just subjective.

            I think he's wrong.

It's the classic conundrum. Do you rate the volume or power? Compubox for this one was garbage so you really must have a good eye and go with what looked right to you. I had Canelo winning but you'd have to be really close minded to not see how someone could score it for Cotto. Same could be said for Canelo's Trout and Lara fights. Judges see/hear that thudding power and tend to give him rounds.

I had it 8-4 for Canelo the first time I saw with the HBO broadcast and with volume turned up and people around me.

Just saw it a second time with no volume or distractions and had it 7-5 Canelo... That being said, I did give 2 rounds to Cotto that were really close to call. Had I not of done that... it could been 9-3 for Canelo. In reality it was a close fight, but the right man won. 9-3 for Cotto is ridiculous, I don't know what beef TV Azteca has with Canelo but they seriously need to get the fuck over it.

                    1. 9-10 Cotto
                    2. 10-9 Canelo
                    3. 10-9 Canelo
                    4. 9-10 Cotto
                    5. 9-10 Cotto
                    6. 9-10 Cotto
                    7. 10-9 Canelo
                    8. 10-9 Canelo
                    9. 9-10 Cotto
                    10. 10-9 Canelo
                    11. 10-9 Canelo
                    12. 10-9 Canelo
