    PPV early results: Canelo-Cotto 550,000, Rousey 750,000

I got actual numbers for both PPVs from non-HBO and non-UFC sources.

HBO was saying Canelo-Cotto did 900,000 starting on Saturday night - but no numbers are available on Saturday night.

HBO PR people are out in full force.

        The truth hurts, apparently.

Don't blame me...blame the people who didn't buy.

I didn't buy it and wouldn't be surprised if the buys were that low. The mayweather vs pacquiao farce has steered a lot of casual fans away from ppvs. It would have been easier to take if they didn't charge $100 for no reason.

                What a load of nonsense.

Cotto-Canelo will do an absolute minimum of 800k. I expect more.

My source is firsthand...I work in TV and know many people at DirecTV.

DirecTV did less than 150K buys. DirecTV buys typically account for 25-30% of the total U.S. buys. Therefore, the fight did, at most, 600,000 buys.

Unless you're one of the fight promoters, then that news shouldn't make you angry...

But of course, if you were one of the fight promoters, you'd already know this.
