I once heard Naseem Richardson say "Carnelo fights like a guy who didn't make weight." He was talking about the pace at which he fights and how he tries to conserve energy. Looking at his punch output one can come to that conclusion. He has fast hands so his low punch output isn't due to not being able to get off his shots. He didn't have problems making weight for this fight but he'd also been training since July. He's hurting himself with the 155 CW. GGG can make that with no problem because he stays so active. Canelo is only going to fight twice a year from now on. Is he going to train four months for both fights? What he lacks in power at 160 he'd make up in punch output. I think Canelo is handicapping himself if he fights GGG at 155lbs. This is just my thoughts. I'm not in his camps and I don't know his body like he does. What do the rest of you think?
Would fighting GGG at 160lbs help Canelo?

He might be a bit stronger at 160 so maybe it would help him but I don't think he can beat GGG. I would favor Canelo over any other middleweight but I think GGG is in a class of his own and only old age might beat him.Comment

Makes NO sense for Canelo. He's good enough at 154 to beat Lara and Cotto so who are we tosay he's got problems?? There's only 1 guy at 160 and he needs Canelo far more than Canelo needs him. At 154, he's got plenty to do, including guys at 147 to are interested in fighting him. When he struggles, then criticize his weight.Comment
