I don't think there were 3 more infamous, hated or whatever you wanna call it mfers in boxing then Jack Johnson, young Ali & Floyd Mayweather. All them were never popular (Ali did become popular after his ban from boxing, but before that he was hated which is something fans today ignore or never knew) so much as boxers people came in droves to watch them get their ass beat for things they said, did or represented. With all due respect. I love Mayweather and think he was a great fighter and best of the era regardless if its weak or not. Hes a bonafide great.
But please mayweather has nothing in common with either Ali or Johnson besides being black and a boxer. Outside that there is no comparision between Mayweather and those two. The young generation of Floyd fans want people to think Mayweather is like Ali so bad. But outside of that small circle who thinks like that knows that Mayweather is nothing comparable to Ali or Jack Johnson.
Idk what is even disputable about this or why you'd disagree. Even if you disagree Floyd isn't in the top 3 he gots to be high on the list with Jack Johnson & young Ali.Comment

LOL!Here in the UK we show love for a fighter, such as Crolla, who almost a year ago was severely injured trying to do the right thing, chasing burglars and doing his bit for his community without a second thought for his own welfare and safety.
But in America you all love a man called Floyd Mayweather who has single handily ruined boxing's reputation, repeatedly attacks women, is a drug cheat, who throws frozen turkeys at homeless people and who has has a different mother for every one of his children.
Why are you yanks so ******?

The question is ****** and has been answered a million times, but ill do it again for fun.
We are grown men who do not need role models.
We love the sport of boxing and we want to watch the guys who are the best at it.
If you want to watch boxing to find a new role model in your life, good luck with that and remember that we dont care.Comment

Well there's a difference between loving someone and respecting their skills as a boxer. Everything you've listed has nothing to do with boxing. Here in the UK we show love for a fighter, such as Crolla, who almost a year ago was severely injured trying to do the right thing, chasing burglars and doing his bit for his community without a second thought for his own welfare and safety.

Americans respect whoever is the BEST at what they do. Floyd is the best fighter, and probably the best athlete, of his generation.
Also, personally I don't like to judge public figures by what the media say about them. I let most of that stay personal. Because we don't really know that much about their lives and what's really happening.Comment
