    Can we all agree...

That Cotto would get slaughtered vs GGG?
He won the title and should have went back down to 154.
I say one more fight against margarito and call it a career

Yes its one step too far, he would have given GGG problems with his speed for the first few rounds, but then Golovkin would adjust and take over.

GGG isn't any bigger than Canelo, i'm almost certain of that, although i doubt there's much in it.

Either way, he's still far too big and strong for Cotto. Cotto doesn't belong over 154 in reality. I think people had a right to be calling for Cotto v GGG as long as he held that MW belt, it's a fair shout. But as long as he isn't holding a belt at MW, i have no problem if he never fights Golovkin, he's just too small for that. He was too small last night.

I just find it funny how Cotto fans thought he would have a chance

It'd be a bloody mess I'd hate to see Cotto go through. He's already prone to cuts and bleeding.

Always thought he'd get slaughtered by GGG and think that even more so after last night. But like the poster above said I thought he should have faced GGG when he had the belt being that GGG was mandatory, but now that Cotto no longer has the belt I don't think anyone should call for GGG/Cotto anymore. Not that it matters because Cotto clearly wasn't going to fight him when he had the belt, much less now.

cotto at his absolute peak would be slaughtered by golovkin, at this point it wouldnt last more than 2 rounds

                  canelo could make it 5

Before last night I thought he had a chance to be competitive. GGG has never fought anyone elite, and even though Cotto is smaller he is elite. But his punches were not too effective and I think it would be the same against GGG. We have never witnessed Cotto's power just bounce off someone before, so that was a first and we saw his ceiling in that sense. These guys just have much bigger bone structures and body mass.
