Why doesn't Cotto give post fight interviews/pressers when he loses?

Cotto was sending a message to HBO and his fans, saying, "No matter what these people did with the judges, I know I didn't lose." That's how I see it. It's more of an HBO snub, in my eyes. He knew what was happening.

That's not between him and his opponents, we are not talking about him speaking to his opponents afterwards or embracing them afterwards. Sportsmanship comes in a lot of ways, yes he is disappointed when he loses which he is entitled to be but walking out every time IMO is classless.

That was the worst post in this thread. Cotto has 5 losses. He has ran out of the ring in at least 4 of them. I can't even remember which one he stayed in, if he did at all.

You are correct that Cotto 'doesn't owe us anything.'. But it's called being a 'professional'.

If Cotto feels that way about post fight interviews, then be consistent: walk out after you win too. He seems to have ZERO problem standing there basking in fan adulation, shouting out Puerto Rico, and talking about himself in the 3rd person when he wins while his opponent stands there. This is the other side of the game.

On top of that, he DOES disrespect his opponent when he does it. He made a spectacle of walking out on Trout, dayum near doing a victory lap around MSG as he hugged and shook hands with fans and his family. Trout, the WINNER, couldn't even do his interview because he had to wait for Jim Gray to get back from chasing down Cotto.

            It's just unprofessional, period.

Cotto was disgusted with the scorecards and rightfully so.

It was "Fck this shyt..." moment.
