Canelo's favouritism with the judges.

So, after another night of atrocious scoring in a Canelo fight, let's sum up what happened so far in this guys career:

1. Austin Trout

- I clearly remember this fight for one thing. Open judging. And it was bad. Trout was outboxing Canelo for large parts of the fight imo - I even think I had it a draw watching it live.

Slight win for Canelo maybe.

Two of the scorecards read: 118-109 & 116-111. Laughable cards.

2. Floyd Mayweather

- Was outboxed from start to finish over 12 rounds. Hardly landed a decent shot all night.

One of the scorecards read 114-114. Possibly the worst scorecard ever in a world title fight.

3. Erislandy Lara

- Canelo looked amateurish to say the least, following Lara around without really cutting the ring off and was getting countered quite easily, albeit by a guy with a negative style.

One of the scorecards read: 117-111.

Overall, it was very debatable whether Canelo deserved that decision.

4. Miguel Cotto

- For my liking he lost most of the early rounds, it was give and take BUT HE DID DESERVE the win in the end. However, I saw JMM calling it a draw - and I know he's shown bias against Canelo in the past, but it was more a draw than these cards:

118-110, 119-109, 117-111.

For *** sake, one of the judges had Cotto winning 1 round. That's absolutely ridiculous.

What is it with this guy and favourable decisions? Honestly.

The fact the most popular and highest earning fighter in the sport outclassed Canelo for 12 rounds and sc****d a MD, says it all

The man can't be beaten on the scorecards even if he loses the fight, not now that Floyd has retired

Canelo has an amazing run of fighters on his resume, but the fact 3 of his biggest fights were either way fights, it makes Canelo lose a lot of shine

It honestly comes down to the wbc. Since cotto didn't pay his sanctioning fees wbc made sure he would regret it

He's got a huge crowd behind him at every fight. Listen to how the crowd reacts to his shots compared to Cotto's last night. The one factor that's been proven beyond all doubt to influence officials in sport is the crowd. Canelo gets way more credit for his work than his opponent does for this very reason.

Yeah the Cotto scorecards were far wider than they deserved to be (117-111 wasn't terrible though), I had it 8-4.

What makes the scorecards being too wide even worse is the fact its giving some people on here a reason to try and take the victory away from Canelo, he used his size and sharpness to win the exchanges and went away with the win, but the scorecards are trying to give people a reason to imply that Cotto was robbed of a draw or even worse a win and that simply wasn't the case.

I understand the frustration with the wide scorecards because it means Cotto had very little chance of a decision had he deserved it but at the end of the day the right man won. But I do agree with you, Canelo has been fortunate on the cards in the past.

It's pretty ***ed up how he always gets super biased scores. But it probably has a lot to do with the crowd cheering for every little thing he does. That or wbc has invested a lot lol

i really don't care for canela but you can't make any excuses for kneeguel he wasn't even close in that fight he got outclassed by canela with movement jotto couldn't touch and ***** ass canelka could of finished him but let him make alot time thoughout the rounds
