Why didn't HBO showcase Cotto's landed punches?

Those in between replays they were almost all Canelo, right? I'm not lying right? I get it, they're trying to make Canelo the new face of boxing. But they did Cotto wrong last night.
I was enjoying the fight right from the start I thought both fighters were executing their game plan, but then i'm noticing while Cotto is landind jabs & combos, roy jones, max & even letterman are talking about what cotto should be doing, his strategy...etc, instead of calling the fight. Just terrible broadcasting. When Canelo would land they would always mentioned even shot. It's just terrible sportcasting....

HBO commentating was horrible - they spent the entire time propping up Canelo even when he was whiffing the air

HBO, WBC and GBP all had mud in their hands right now. SHameful. I think I'll find a way to get Boxnation - everyone seems a bit more happy with their commentary.

This could be part of it...but they also have a responsibility to show the most telling and consequential action of each round. It just happened to be canelos clean punches most rounds.

So what exactly was cotto's game plan? Seemed to me he was unable to execute anything his corner was telling him.

I agree, Cotto's jab was actually pretty good but a jab is not as eye catching as a power punch.

Yea this is true but doesn't change the fact that Cotto lost the fight. I had it 115-113 for Canelo. The scores were awful.

There were a bunch of combinations from the body to the head they failed to even acknowledge.

Cotto was robbed last night. This is why boxing has so many problems. It'll never reach its true potential, if people continue to shrug off crimes like these.

I am not his trainer, so i would not be able to tell you exactly what is was. But cotto was able catch Canelo w/ several combos & spin out/ pivot out of harms way. In boxing that is an accomplishment it self, how? Ok i'll explain, accomplishment cause if cotto had not executed what I mentioned Canelo would've most likely hurt him early & most likely win by tko. I mean no excuses but Canelo was much bigger than Cotto. So in excuting just that gave him time to at least have a shot at winning, but it did not worked out that way.
