japanese power punchers + winning gloves

Are japanese power punchers hurting themselves using super padded gloves ?
Miura and Kamegai each have crazy pop Miura last night has hurting vargasand
Kamegai had an epic fight with guerrero . I think if they would have worn cleto or mx glove it might have given them that lol bit of extra pop to ko their man. So besides the gloves being japanese why do they wear em

They are fantastic gloves. Great quality and hand protection.

It may just be a comfort thing, if you are used to those gloves and like them, why change?

Strangely I've seen reports that Yu Kimura will wear Reyes for his next bout, Kimura has no power.

I can understand the comfort factor . I wonder if its more tradition. But if I'm one of theses guys i would start training once in a while with a punchers glove to get a feel cus damn its almost a handicap to wear em. As for Morales i think he used em when he wasn't sure about the guys power
