i would say ggg's on a good run. 7 top 10 fighters in the last 3 years and 4 of them in the top 5. if you compare that to cotto whose only legit top 5 win over the last 6 years was martinez and martinez was crippled and coming off a loss to murray(someone ggg crushed) it really makes cotto look like smoke and mirrors, yet people still held him in high regard based on what he did 6-8 years ago similar to what ward did 4-6 years ago. yes if we are talking overall resumes they clearly have the goods but if you are talking about who is on a good run lately then no its not them.

Nah, he blew it.
He had AA pushed back so many times and just backed off and let AA come forward. AA is extremely basic, he can only punch when moving forward and all he does when the other guy throws is shell up....when he's in that shell you blast him, not back off and allow him to attack.Comment

Hey shoulder roll, Who has Murray ever beat? Not all this mythical stuff with Sergio, but really who the hell has Murray ever beat to say that he is Golovkin's best win. That is laughable, the UK promoters do a great job promoting the fighter's there, but you seem to have way too much stock in a 2nd tier contender.Comment

But he is still the most proven guy on GGG's resume. As sad as that is.Comment

Murray was not keen on throwing hooks around the guard though they consistently landed and one of the few times he really stepped in with a punch he nearly put Abraham down. Frustrating to watch. Murray has the chin to be able to force the issue.
I reckon George Groves could stop Abraham. He looked very old.Comment

Agree with this. It happened a lot. I have never seen Abe counter anyone. Murray should really have won he is better in a lot of ways but I remember thinking Abraham was the boss in a lot of rounds with his usual plodding forward style with the occasional burst of heavy punches which were mostly blocked. I think with Lemieux having wins over, N'Jikam, Rosado & Guerrerro he is the most proven on GGG's resume. I just don't think there are any big accomplishments by Murray other then some 'domestic' scraps.Comment

Rosado and Guerrero are awful.Comment
