When a fan favorite fighter loses, you move on because that's what people do when they want to live reasonable happy lives. Cotto, lost, plain and simple. We can quibble about how close it was, but it wasn't a draw whatsoever, it was a clear loss and that's the end of it. The decision won't be reversed by getting "expert" opinions or people crying their eyes out.
Cotto showed pretty bad sportsmanship by not showing up to the press conference. I for one wanted to hear his thoughts and reflections on the fight. He's acting like he was robbed, he wasn't.....Comment

Ok ok, the scorecards were bad maybe? or exaggerated? but look at the pool of "who do you think won?"... 75% people voted that canelo won. Everyone saw canelo win, get over it. It wasn't a robbery. I wouldn't trust what some jelous guys would say. I imagine it's because Canelo is gonna make more money than them.Comment

Maybe I'll change my mind without alcohol in me and in hd. But canelo barely threw punches the first 6 roundsComment

without keeping track of rounds, I thought Cotto won as well. He built up an early lead on the cards. Canelo hurt him in the late rounds but fights are scored by rounds, the wide cards with canelo having a shut out were a joke.
canelo needs better trainers, he barely threw any feints and hardly the jab, he was completely ineffective in the first 7 rounds of the fight whenever he took the lead (his countering was very effective but landing far and few between) and threw first, cotto blocked everything, he telegraphs his shots, he needs to use feints to keep cotto guessing. I watched the boxnation version so I dont know what his corner was saying but I cant believe they didnt correct that. He also needs to circle more, he only attacks cotto in a straight line and then backs up in a straight line when cotto attacks, then hes far away and cotto has the distance he wants, he needs to step to the side more and not give up the distance.
Anyways I was right that cotto coudlnt run for 12 rounds, he used the same strategy against geale but that was only 3 rounds, he was tired as **** by the 8th round and canelo put a beating on him, then canelo started getting tired too and theyre both exhausted in the later rounds.Comment

But he was robbed of a proper scorecard and to these fighters that is almost the equivalent. The scorecards handed out are terrible to these fighters because it doesn't reflect what happened in the ring at all. These fighters put in alot of work and putting forth an 11-1 scorecard is demeaning, especially when it wasn't an 11-1 fight. There's a lot of pride for these fighters and I think when he hears an 11-1 scorecard, he knows what was up - so why give the WBC, GBP more of his time. **** em all would be my gesture.
He was in the dressing room signing autographs, while speaking w/ fans in the stadium and I'm sure he'll give interviews in the days to come to the fansComment

What?
What? You blame Canelo!?!? For what? Winning the biggest test of his career? He should've ended Cotto, ey? Based on what? Last time I checked, no one has ever ENDED Cotto. What we found out last night was that Cotto is a rejuvenated fighter under Roach. His level of fitness and his mental toughness has gone up. His chin and heart were amazing last night. What Canelo did was not easy. Noone Cotto's size beats him or goes 12 probably. Pipe down and give props where they are do.Comment
