    I'm seriously Worried for Canelo. . .

. . . I think he may actually agree to fight GGG. I don't think he understands just how dangerous that fight would be, even at a catchweight.

Canelo may be a young lion but GGG is a prize hunter. He'll patiently stalk his pray for as long as it takes but in the end he put him down and claim another scalp. Canelo will not be the same after this fight and will end up in the hospital.

GGG is more skilled. GGG is more powerful. GGG is quicker. GGG has better defense. GGG has a better chin. GGG is more intelligent. GGG has more ring generalship. GGG is more violent. Stylistically, Canelo is nothing more than target practice.

Somebody close to Canelo needs to tell him not to take this fight. It is too dangerous. I doubt it would even be approved by a state boxing commission. Murder is a crime, last time I checked.

    I'm praying for Canelo!

    Man, please.

Canelo is a top fighter, has sparred Golovkin and is improving with every fight. He'll give Golovkin a fight.

        Bit dramatic.

I think he is slightly backed into a corner with this fight though, more than he realises. If Floyd stays retired then there is no big fight for him at 154 or 160. You may say GGG didn't do big numbers but people know him and everyone wants this fight, it would be a massive fight.

So he has nowhere else to turn because if he ducks this fight, it will show him in a very bad light i think, especially when there's no other big fight to turn to so it will look like he ducked it for a "weak" opponent. It's the only fight anybody is asking for.

I fully expect it to get made, i reckon both sides will agree to 157. Canelo might act like the diva, but where else can he go without coming out of it looking very bad? They need this fight almost as much as GGG does as long as Floyd is retired. There's really not many options that people will accept. I think they will realise Canelo/Golden Boy need this fight when they weigh up the options.

I don't see it going quite like that but if Canelo wants to fight GGG more power to him.

It might be a poor career choice but it is his career and if he manages to win he will be real big time. Canelo is pretty good at what he does so I would hope he would have some belief in himself

I think speed might be equal, actually. Canelo is pretty quick for having such a stocky build.

OP makes one good point though: GGG is more VIOLENT... GGG has a meanness that Canelo lacks... Not only does GGG have heavier hands, he's more aggressive.

Canelo won't be able to impose his size like with Cotto.

Canelo will NOT be able to walk down GGG. In fact, for the first time, we'll see Canelo backpedaling all night... count on it

Canelo will become demoralized upon realizing his power has no effect on GGG. But when he feels GGG power, and he will feel it routinely because he's not slick enough to avoid it... he's not going to know what do to...Instead of trying to box, he'll "relapse" and try to fight GGG, he'll try to get his in... and this is when Canelo will take the most damage.

Because Canelo has a great chin, he's going to suffer a lot of unneccerary blows to the head... He's going to get seriously hurt in this fight.... A catch-weight is NOT going to save Canelo from GGG power....

Yeah, I think GGG wins,.props to canelo if he takes it.

I'm not sure if Canelo can somehow squeeze one tuneup in between, but considering canelo is moving closer to his prime and GGG is moving g from his............could be slightly beneficial.
