He fights more like Floyd at times than people realise. He's definitely picked up a few things from him. Not that Floyd invented these things but he is the modern example of how to use such techniques with enough footage to really study in detail.

Then again, i think any of todays fighters would be foolish not to study him. You don't have to mimic him but there's plenty in there you can bring in to your own game. I'm sure Canelo has, especially after being in the ring with him. That fight probably did Canelo a lot of good, it was an education for such a young guy. He's definitely improved since then. I think it's because he realised he had to if he wants to be elite and great, when he understood what it was like to be in there with a great fighter. He wanted some of that.

I always felt his reaction after losing to Floyd wasn't disappointment that he lost, i think he just realised he wasn't quite as good as he thought and had a lot to work on. Fair play to him, he seems to have done that.
