Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, WBC middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs) will return to action on May 7th and then September 17th.

Canelo, who is still only 25-years-old, picked up the biggest victory of his pro career on Saturday night with a dominating twelve round unanimous decision victory over former four division world champion Miguel Cotto.

I wouldn't be surprised if the WBC inserts some crazy clause stating Canelo gets a voluntary defense because the title was vacant when he won it.

Edit: No thanks to a Mayweather rematch. Any improvements since the last fight have been minimal. Same outcome, Mayweather unanimous decision in 12.

If fishnets gets his gay sponsor, his coke dealers and Victoria secret board of directors to get together $100 mil for Floyd, there will be a rematch for sure.

Why? You want him to get schooled again?

They should be negotiating a GGG fight. You're the A-Side ffs.

He'd lose in same fashion, redundant fight.

Mayweather = X100000000000 better than Kenny G. And more $$$$

GO buy GGG vs. Lee PPV event.

                    Wait and See

I think Money May will come back and fight......To me he is going to take a wait and see approach to see who will generate the most money for another 9 figure pay day......

I think he will be specifically look at Canelo, GGG, and Pac.....I know Pac says after April he will retire (hopefully Mr. Crawford get's that shot) but depending on who he fights and wins I think Floyd will give it some thought on fighting him again.....

As for Canelo and GGG......both won't fight each the first half of 2016 it will be the second half, and if there aren't any bumps in the road to prevent that fight from happening I think they will fight in September next year....

Then the winner of that fight will also be under consideration for Floyd's 50th as well. I wish I could say Floyd will consider one of the PBC guy's but the facts are they don't generate that type of money as Canelo, Pac, and GGG.....Are they as talented and would be better matchups for Floyd? Yes....but they move the needle money wise as the other three....
