As usual Rigo was boring that's why HBO was happy to release him.

Next time? WTF!? What about this time? That was the big opportunity to impress on HBO.

Rigo looked rusty and his timing was off. I think age and inactivity has caught up.

If a good enough fighter can win 3-4 rounds he will get the decision over Rigo and the fans will have no sympathy. I've seen this happen to often in boxing and it's an unfortunate reality. But at least he got his big money fight and the best possible win of his career already.

I think he wasn't that bad considering the layoff and him taking the fight on 1 week notice,he did what he had to do and almost won everyone, HBO's commentary however didn't help the situation, Jim Lampley's bias and hatred made him forget what his job actually is, he's a blow by blow anouncer, he should just call the fight and try to be positive since this is a fighter that's fighting for his network, even if you think that he's boring you shouldn't keep on saying that for 10 rounds! and then wonder why he can't sell? He's not getting any support from anyone.

A lot of people seemed to have hated Rigo's fight. He certainly didn't earn any fans.

I missed that fight, I was not interested in the undercard but friend who likes boxer types told me he changed the channel.

Unfortunately I don't think he cares to sell or gain fans. He's at the tail end of his career, he's past prime, lost a few steps and is at risk of losing to someone he shouldn't lose to for cheap.

What he's doing is staying undefeated, remaining champion and hoping to get one last payday against a big name. He won't take risks because a surprise KO or a robbery decision would end his chances at the big cash out.

If you weren't a Rigo fan in 2013, you will never be one. His only path to paydays is staying on top of his division as long as possible.
