It was a robbery, not because Canelo won as I had it 7-5 Cotto but I could easily see it going the other way by the same margin but the judges had Nelo winning by margins of 6-7 rounds...how? It's like they had no intention of scoring the fight.

Someone explain how Canelo won the majority of rounds from 1-6? Canelo was being out thrown, out landed and was missing wildly with his own shots. He did well in rounds 7,8 and 9 and you'd have to give him the 12th. I gave Canelo the first too, just a slight edge.

That was ridiculous scoring.

By the the way, and I may be nitpicking, but I thought it was beyond disrespectful that Cotton listened to both the Mexican and Puerto Rico national anthems then put headphones on while the Star Spangled Banner was being sung.

I'm not making excuses. I already said it was close enough to go either way, 7-5 Cotto imo or 7-5 Canelo. I've even said I'm a Canelo fan, I was rooting for him but to have scorecards, one so wide that they Cotto winning 1 round.

I know your Mexican so for you it's always gonna be a Canelo win so there's no point in this discussion but I'm curious, how did you score the fight?

I don't think Canelo landed effectively until the 6th or won a clear round till the 7th. Some rounds were close and I can imagine it going either way but the cards were a joke.

I have no national **** riding need in this fight as I'm neither Mexican nor PR but even if I did, I'm a boxing fan and last night, with the judging on display, Canelo knows Vegas is his house. He doesn't even need to try to win anymore.

Canelo looked fantastic. His defense was on point and he pretty much ran away with the fight. It wasn't close and Cotto had no snap behind his shots. Canelo is huge. And his uppercut was gorgeous.

On rewatch, it was not that close

canelo won, no doubt

I commend cotto but when he tried to exchange he landed nothing and took a lot. Hi movement and jab was not effective enough to win rounds. If Canelo had Margaritos desire for destruction, he kos him.

Give Cotto his props, he lost to an underrated strong young guy, with possibly 15 lbs on him

Canelo did not star landing with authority until mid fight, but Cotto never did
