Thats being generous. Thats very generous actually. Cotto fought like a weakling in there tonight. No leverage in a majority of his landed compubox shots. Fear will do that to a man.

8-4 for Canelo. You know Cotto is getting his ass beat when he does that fake cross/shoulder roll thing. Every time Canelo hit him Cotto froze.

Canelo sees himself as a floyd mayweather type boxer...fans want him to fight like a chavez. If you watch the fight in the context of what canelo was trying to do...he outboxed cotto. I feel like people think if canelo wasn't pressing cotto and imposing his size on him then he wasn't doing what he wanted. Quite the opposite actually.

Canelo won. He was the bigger fighter and his punches did more damage. Cotto did some good work but was bothered by Canelo's size advantage that he felt that it was too risky to put constant pressure on Canelo. Their plan was to move so Canelo can't plant his feet and fire off his big punches.

Cotto's movement was effective in preventing Canelo to get his offense going but I believe it also neutralized some of his own offense and advantages.

            But the scores were lame.

wtf.........canelo was struggling with weight in this camp and most of his major fights were catchweights. this was the same oversized alverez as in the mayweather fight. obviously mayweather fought a totally different game plan then what cotto fought. simple and plain. get over it............healthy canelo? wait a sec.........

Cotto only really started doing catchweights after he learned from mayweather (when mayweather did it to him) that you can actually win fights in the negotiation tables!

floyd fought cotto at the full jr MW limit of 154...

and if ur referring to canelo,it wouldnt matter what the weight was, canelo doesnt have the stamina, accuracy or reach to beat floyd. it will be another schooling, just be happy with the victory over a fading cotto

****!!! I somehow accidentally voted for Cotto.

                      Canelo clearly won imo.
