I have watched the fight 5 times and this is how ive scored it.

I had 116-112 for Skelton

Skelton got robbed blatenly.

You can argue Skelton should have got a point deducted for the foul but still he would have won the fight also watch round 12 where Danny Williams cheated, he spat his gumshield on purpose to get him a bit of break, before he spat the gumshield Williams was in trouble, Skelton was hitting him with left hooks and uppercuts. After Williams got his break he did rock Skelton thats why he got the last round, the first half of the 12th round was skelton's when the last half belonged to Williams.

Also when it was announced its a split decision, when the announcer said "Judge Richard James Davies scores the bout 115-114 for Williams" the crowd Boo'ed loud..and then when it was "Judge Ian John Lewis scores the bout 115-114 for Skelton" Everyone was cheering, and when the final decision came that Williams won by split decision, there was a lot of boo'ing from the crowd, and the commentators also said that they felt skelton had won the fight as well.

I don't think it was a robbery. It depends on what you like, Williams cleaner work, or Skeltons higher work rate. Nevertheless I thought Skelton nicked it. A draw would'nt have been scandalas

I dont think Skelton was robbed. He was fouling repeatedly and could quite easily have had 2 points deducted which would of made the score quite even. Seeing as he didnt have any points deducted though yeah he shoulda probably got the nod.

Lets hope Danny lays off the Mr Kipling cakes and trains properly for the rematch. He's a fat, lazy bastard who's often mentally not all there in fights but he always comes across as quite humble and I hope he wins.

And just another thing, Williams was an underdog in this fight, shocking but true, Skelton was the 2-1 favourite.

I'm only going off my memory of the fight as i saw it at the time. I'd need to watch it again to comment on the exact scoring but as I remember it wasn't that one sided on Skeltons part. I thought the fight was fairly even with Skelton working harder but Williams getting off cleaner (like someone else said) and finishing the fight well which probably would of swayed the judges. Also, Skeltons repeated fouling took a lot off his performance in my eyes.

Only if Skelton had a Boxing glove on his head would he of won that fight........HE lost that fight for himself........ he was messy, judges would find it harder to score clean punches when his attacks were so sloppy!
