They set him up with a commentating job to increase his popularity. They poured in more money to get Edwin Rodriguez to fight Ward so that he'd have a credible opponent. The man is delusional, he's the one who killed his momentum.

Ward standing firm at the beginning when he claims he made the offer to GGG prior to the Lemieux announcement, says he'll show the email, then doesn't.

Somebody asks if he'd drop back down to 168lbs to fight Golovkin - he says no way. Funny as ****, because he was fine with Chad Dawson doing exactly that.

That's about the time Ward said he's willing to fight Kovalev.

        Your boy is a joke.

Anyone from 154-168, ducks Ward = joke.
Anything over 200k ppvs is a success, 97k = joke.
Says the most important thing is unifying, accepts step aside money = joke.

All I heard was whiner crying because he's not allowed to fight bums for big cash.
Then you weren't paying attention or you already had your mind made up on what you felt about him before watching the video.

You're right, HBO has made an honest effort to promote Ward. I think Ward was referring to boxing writers more than HBO when he discussed unfair criticism.

The comment about the email is irrational, did you expect him to pull out the documents mid interview? And Dawson situation has been discussed to death, he made a bad choice and paid the price for it. Besides, Ward stated years ago that once he moved up he would never come back down.......you mad because he sticks to his word?

GGG should start speaking from himself and stop abel from doing it for him. everything ward referred to has nothing to do with GGG but more with the people around him. still, ward criticising GGG is laughable, this guy wants to fight worse bums than the ones gennady been fighting.

You can criticize GGG all you want, even as someone who likes him I think some of it's fair. But Cotto/Canelo was going to happen no matter what. So, it comes down to does GGG want to take the 800,000 or not? It's free money. He'd have been the dumbest MF'er in the history of boxing to say no to the money.

Ducking Andre Ward is really the only thing you got against him. Even then Ward didn't try to make a fight with him.
                  • October 2014 - Ward's email on HBO said "Anyplace, anytime, anywhere".
                  • March 2015 - Ward signs with RN, Ward & GGG have no opponents lined up - but Ward says he needs tune-ups.
Lost opportunity to either make the fight or call a genuine bluff.

Thing I like about GGG is he'll take short money to stay busy. Ward won't.

And another thing - Ward was quoted in December 2011, saying he'd move up to LHW for the right fight? How come you give him a 4 year pass on that? Why you give him a pass calling out Chavez Jr right after losing to Martinez, then 5 months later telling Froch he's looking for an easy fight vs Chavez? Why you give him a pass for turning down Adonis Stevenson after he KO'd Dawson, but he signs to fight a clearly shot Kelly Pavlik?

Yea I didn't see him going hard on HBO, he was going hard on the media and made some very valid points. People act as if he was given something when they bring up the HBO deal. He wasn't given that, he earned that. When talking about the media's treatment of him a reporter brought up the fact that although the media is hard on him most still rank him top 5 p4p. Ward's response was excellent. He said it's because he's proven he's top 5 p4p. Giving him credit for something he's earned doesn't excuse the ill treatment. This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen. This is what B-hop thinks he's doing when he's actually just talking down to people. There were some tough questions in there too. And as i'm listening to this I'm watching my twitter feed. Reporters are throwing Kovalev softball questions. Those same reporters that constantly criticize Andre Ward. Yet I heard none of them interviewing Ward.

They're both in Vegas today, I'd like to see them bump into one another.
